Magdalena went pink for Fashion Week

If you’re not familiar with Magdalena, the driving force behind www.prettycripple.com, be prepared. After unfortunate circumstances in the 1990’s left the Forest Hills, Queens native dependent on a wheelchair, the style maven decided to live life to the fullest and in her own words, “obstacles are simply challenges I overcome”. With her sassy wit and unique eye on style, Magdalena has powered her blog into a must-read for fashion insiders who appreciate a no-holds barred take on the world of haute couture.

With a love for hats and bright red lipstick, Magdalena has taken her passion for fashion to a whole new audience as many women who are disabled check in each week to see what’s hot in the eyes of this determined blogger.

Though she was unable to attend this year’s shows in New York due to Storm Nemo, Magdalena used her hi-speed internet access to obtain a front row seat to some of the most anticipated shows including Proenza Schouler, Nanette Lepore and Marc Jacobs. While she’s used to front row seats and back stage access, Magdalena found that the internet provided her with views just as exclusive as Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Sharing both what inspires her and what should be left in the closet, Magdalena has built up a loyal following of people who refuse to let their disabilities hinder them from pursuing what they truly love. Opinionated, original and occasionally outrageous, Magdalena is everything fashion should be and at HDS MEDALLION® we welcome more fresh voices who pay attention to fashion from the disabled community.
