The Chicago Abilities Expo will be held from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center. HDS Medallion will be in Booth 712, right in the center of the show. We will be holding a daily drawing for your choice of a free bag, regardless of price. Simply stop by and fill out a registration form.

We will be offering several show specials at the Expo. Our Demi-Premier bags will be 5 percent off (including new bags), Premiers and Metros will be 10 percent off, and Classics will be 15 percent off. Pashminas will be $2.50 off. If you purchase a bag, pashminas will be only $12.50, regardless of starting price. Plus no shipping!

We will also be premiering two beautiful new bags at the Expo. Our Demi-Paisley Pink bag is based on our best-selling bag in the Premier size with a fabulous jewel-colored paisley on a black background with a hot pink ribbon topped by an intricate black braid. This bag is also available in bright blue. Very chic for those who like our smaller (13” x 10”) bags.

Come to Booth 712 to meet us, Carol and Bill Rady, the owners of HDS Medallion, and our delightful mascot, Abby. She’s a fuzzy teddy bear with a slicker raincoat, a fancy bow, and a sweet expression. For those of you who haven’t been to an Abilities Expo, the Chicago Abilities Expo at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center is an opportunity for people with disabilities, their families, seniors, veterans, and healthcare professionals to gather to share information, learn about products and services, and have fun. Products, services, workshops, and events can be of assistance to individuals with a wide variety of physical, sensory, learning, and developmental disabilities.

The Abilities Expo showcases an array of cutting-edge technologies that can help people with disabilities, as well as adaptive dance, exhibitions, sports, workshops, and service animals. Workshops are based on topics including travel, home modifications, finance, dating, physical therapy for children, technology, mobility devices, and much more. And of course, bags for mobility devices!

Abilities Expos are fun-filled events that provide valuable resources for people with disabilities. These events have been improving the lives of people, their families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals for over 30 years. Admission to the Chicago Abilities Expo is free.
